Board your sightseeing motor launch directly from the Placencia pier, for an interesting and educational tour viewing Mother Nature's amazing saltwater mangrove estuaries and its inhabitants.  The seating in your motor launch is comfortable and the canopied top affords protection from the warm tropical sun, so just sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery.  Your experienced captain will slowly manoeuvre your vessel from the pier and onto the protected waters of the Placencia Lagoon, he will then chart a course towards one of the shallow manatee "hang-out" areas.  More often than not, manatee will be in these locations, grazing and relaxing, thus affording a great opportunity for a close-up encounter with these large docile marine creatures.  Your knowledgeable onboard nature guide will provide you with a detailed narrative about the manatee and their life-cycle in the tropical waters of Belize.

As your tranquil sightseeing tour continues traveling along the shore of the picturesque lagoon, your captain will enter one of the many mangrove estuaries.  These placid creeks are lined on both sides with mangrove trees, with their arching root systems and thick verdant green leaves, they provide habitat for many forms of life, both in their thick branches above the water and their tangled root systems below the water's surface.  As the passage narrows, your guide will point-out numerous species of flora and fauna, ranging from marine life, to aquatic plants and trees, there will be many species of birds and even at times, wildlife that that live on the tropical savannahs might be spotted, you never know what you might encounter around the next bend in the creek.  Kick back, relax and enjoy a complimentary rum punch / fruit punch or water on this tour.

During the city tour, the tourist is invited to make a historical and touristic recognition of the city of  Fortaleza. The Portuguese people were the first non-native settlers of Ceará, and their struggle with the Dutchmen for the Fort of Schooneborch, gave origin to the small village that would officially become the city of Fortaleza de Nossa Senhora da Assunção, on April 13th., 1726. In the City Tour, we visit the ancient and the young Fortaleza, today the fifth Brazilian capital, with aprox. 2.200.000 inhab, discovering the diversity and the beauty of the capital, that keeps its historical buildings, such as: the Metropolitan Cathedral, Central Market, the President Castelo Branco Mausoleum, the Martyrs Square, the Statue of Iracema, Meireles Beach, Mucuripe Beach and the famous beach “Praia do Futuro”

A sightseeing tour of Recife, stopping at Praça da República, to take photos of the Governor’s Palace, Santa Isabel Theater and the Justice Palace, and at Casa da Cultura, a prison which has been transformed into a handicraft market, for an unforgetable visit (passengers will have time to shop). Afterwards, the next stop is Olinda, the old capital, with grand houses and colonial churches; you will see the Alto da Sé, Sé Church and Misericordia Church, where you can admire the most beautiful view of Olinda and Recife. Subsequently, there will be a visit to the São Bento Monastery. Olinda is considered the Natural and Cultural patrimony of Humanity by UNESCO.

Returning to Recife, you will see Boa Viagem, a sophisticated residential neighbourhood where there are many hotels, restaurants and modern buildings; there will be a stop for photos.

A short sightseeing drive and a walk to Salvador’s historical Pelourinho neighbourhood, the greatest colonial architecture in Brazil.

From the port, you will transfer by coach to the Barra district, passing by the Montanha Hill, Campo Grande square, Vitoria neighbourhood to finally stop by the lighthouse and have some time for pictures. Tour continues to the Municipal Sq. in the historic centre, where Brazil’s best-preserved colonial architecture is located. Leaving the coach, you will begin a walking with some stops to enjoy some of the Bahia cultural expressions! Time for photos in front of Lacerda Elevator, Rio Branco palace, Bay view. Then, towards the city Cathedral (outside view) representing the Jesuit Order of Salvador; Then, walk across the square to visit São Francisco Church with its gold-leafed interior and Jacaranda wood furniture. There will then be short time for independent exploration and the tropical taste of coconut water. Back with your guide, a short walk to Laranjeiras street, where we have some photo and small art galleries with works of local artists. Time to sit for a cold beer, and also taste the most popular bahia fritter – acarajé. Here, we have some time to visit the galleries, or just sit and enjoy the colourful facades.

Now, we continue, passing by one of the city’s post-cards, Pelourinho Largo. Formerly the site of the slave market, “pillory” still marks the spot where enslaved Africans were once publicly punished. Re-joining your bus, you will head back to the port.
